Job Description
We’re looking for a detail-focused and organised person to join our Mansfield based client as a Payroll and Accounts Assistant.
In this role, you’ll make sure our employees are paid correctly and on time, and help keep our financial records accurate and up to date.
Our client can consider full time or 30 hours over 5 days.
Monday-Friday
£28-30k
What You’ll Do
1. Gather and record information on staff attendance, holidays, and sickness.
2. Process weekly and monthly payroll runs, ensuring all details are correct.
3. Work closely with the Finance Administrator to prepare and process staff payments.
4. Keep employee information accurate by liaising with HR.
5. Calculate pay changes, overtime, tax, pension, and other deductions.
6. Prepare and send out payslips and other payroll documents.
7. Support employees with payroll queries or issues.
8. Assist with processing and checking financial data for the accounts team.
9. Contribute to improving payroll and finance processes.
What We’re Looking For
10. At least 5 years experience in payroll
11. Minimum of AAT level 2 or A level Maths/ Finance
12. Strong IT skills
13. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
14. Good communication and teamwork skills.
