About the role:
As the IT Service Management Lead, you will:
1. Develop and implement the council’s IT Service Management (ITSM) strategy, driving improvements across Incident, Change, Problem, Asset, Configuration, and Knowledge Management.
2. Lead a high-performing team dedicated to continuous improvement and exceptional service delivery.
3. Manage an annual ITSM budget of approximately £500,000, optimising resource allocation and cost management.
4. Direct the selection and optimisation of ITSM tools and platforms, aligning closely with best practices and organisational needs.
5. Chair the Change Advisory Board, ensuring robust governance and effective risk management for all IT changes.
About you:
You will have:
6. Extensive leadership experience in IT Service Management, with deep knowledge of ITIL frameworks and processes.
7. Proven track record in implementing and optimising ITSM strategies and tools.
8. Strong capabilities in managing complex changes, budgets, and governance frameworks.
9. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and guide at a senior level.
10. A passion for continuous improvement and fostering an environment of innovation and excellence.
