Job Title: Employer Engagement Tutor
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary: £100 – £140 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-time | Long-term | 5 days per week
Are you an experienced tutor with a passion for connecting learners to the world of work?
GSL Education are seeking a committed Employer Engagement Tutor to deliver vocational and employability training in Newcastle upon Tyne. This full-time role requires availability 5 days per week.
About the Role:
As an Employer Engagement Tutor, you will work with learners up to Level 2, helping them develop employability skills, workplace awareness, and practical knowledge to succeed in their chosen career paths. You will also liaise with local employers to create meaningful engagement opportunities, placements, and work-related projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver employability and vocational training up to Level 2
* Support learners in developing workplace skills, confidence, and professional behaviours
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons, workshops, and employer-focused activities
* Develop and maintain links with local employers to enhance learner experiences
* Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback
* Support learners with diverse abilities and needs
* Uphold safeguarding, health & safety, and organisational policies
Requirements:
* Proven tutoring experience up to Level 2 (essential)
* Strong understanding of employability skills and employer engagement practices
* Excellent communication, organisation, and relationship-building skills
* Ability to commit to 5 days per week
* Flexible, professional, and learner-focused
* An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one with GSL Education
