Onsite Engineer / Deployment Engineer

Key Responsibilities
* Support the rollout and installation of new IT equipment (desktops, laptops, monitors, phones, and peripherals) across NHS sites.
* Decommission and safely dispose of legacy hardware in line with NHS data protection and sustainability policies.
* Image, configure, and test new devices to meet NHS Trust standards and clinical system requirements.
* Collaborate with IT teams, site leads, and end users to schedule and deliver deployments with minimal disruption to clinical services.
* Ensure network connectivity, domain joining, and system updates are correctly applied prior to handover.
* Provide on-site technical support during and after deployment to resolve any installation or configuration issues.
* Maintain accurate asset tracking and documentation within the IT inventory management system.
* Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and contribute to continuous improvement of deployment processes.
* Escalate technical or logistical issues to the Deployment Lead or Project Manager as appropriate.
* Adhere to NHS information governance, health and safety, and security policies at all times.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in IT hardware deployment or desktop support within a large organisation (NHS experience desirable).
* Strong technical understanding of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and basic networking.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to work in clinical environments.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a wider deployment team across multiple NHS sites.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between Trust locations as required.
