Human Factors Assessor
Our client, a leading global technical and engineering services partner in the defence industry are recruiting for a Human Factors Assessor to join the major projects located in Warrington & Aldermaston

The Human Factors Assessor is responsible for:
* Undertaking human factors design and safety case assessment, and associated activities, interfacing with engineering, project management, project controls and document management functions.
* Acting in any human factors or equivalent role.
* Supporting the Safety Case Manager;
* Supporting wider Programme safety case and engineering leads when requested.
* Assisting Head of Profession in capability development and establishment and implementation of resource strategies, recruitment plans and competence.
* Advises organisation and Client leadership, engineering, programme and project management, and clients (intelligent Customer), on regulatory compliance, standards and guidance.
* Interfacing as necessary with suppliers.
* Supporting the client in interactions with Regulators and safety committees.
Requirements:
* Ideally hold a Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent education)
* Human Factors assessment, and HAZAN production
* Experience of UK and International standards, e.g. Technical Assessment Guides
* Experience of a range of nuclear hazard identification and analytical tools
* Experience of ergonomics/human factors design
* Experience of relevant code (THERP, HEART etc.) application in a wide range of nuclear operations and fault scenarios
* Ability to gain and retain Security Clearance and willingness to obtain Developed Vetting;
* Ability to travel for several days at a time in the UK and occasional overseas travel
* Good oral and written communication skills, including presentation and report writing
* Good MS applications, organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work
Desirable:
* Experience of UK nuclear site licensing, safety assessment principles, regulatory guidance on safety assessment and nuclear Site Licence Conditions;
* Experience in two or more UK Nuclear Site Licensee Organisations;
* Experience of Regulatory permissioning/flexible permissioning;
* Experience of safety case in civil reactors and defence sector;
* Experience of international nuclear safety assessment;
* Project management and project controls skills;
* Stakeholder management skills;
* Ability to mentor and coach.
