Lead Electrical TechnicianLocation: London,WC2H 8NUSalary: £55,000 plus Sodexo benefitsContract:40 hours per week, Monday to FridayShifts:Early - 7am-4pm, Late - 1pm-10pmAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Technician to join our static Technical Services team within a high-profile, business-critical environment. This is a hands-on supervisory role, combining strong electrical technical expertise with day-to-day leadership responsibility. You will act as the site's electrical lead, ensuring all electrical systems, critical power infrastructure and building controls are operated, maintained and enhanced in line with the highest standards of safety, compliance and operational resilience.Reporting to the Technical Services Supervisor, you will take ownership of the delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical works, carried out by in-house engineers and specialist subcontractors. The role plays a vital part in maintaining business continuity within an environment where electrical reliability and uptime are paramount.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as theLead Electrical Engineeron site, providing expert technical guidance and oversightDeliver and oversee PPM and reactive maintenance in line withSFG20, OEM guidance and statutory regulationsLead statutory inspections and compliance activities includingEICRs, emergency lighting and PAT testingDiagnose and resolve complex electrical faults, escalating risks proactivelyManageLV systems, emergency power infrastructure, UPS and generatorsEnsure strict adherence toSafe Systems of Work, including RAMS, LOTO, permits and isolationsSupervise subcontractors and quality-assure all electrical worksMaintain accurate technical records and update CMMS systems (e.g. Archibus)Deputise for the Technical Services Supervisor as requiredParticipate in emergency and out-of-hours escalation response when neededMentor and support the development of electrical and multi-skilled techniciansSupport resilience upgrades, energy optimisation and continuous improvement initiativesBuild and maintain strong professional relationships with clients and stakeholdersHealth, Safety & ComplianceEnsure full compliance withElectricity at Work Regulations, BS7671 and Sodexo Global Engineering StandardsMaintain required Authorised Person appointments and certificationsPromote a strong safety culture through leadership, reporting and engagementKey AccountabilitiesElectrical system uptime, resilience and reliabilityStatutory compliance and health & safety assuranceHigh-quality delivery of maintenance and reactive worksLeadership, mentoring and performance of the engineering teamClear communication and strong client relationshipsAbout YouYou are a confident electrical professional with strong leadership capability and a compliance-focused mindset.
