The primary purpose of this role is to operate and manage various test stations to ensure full functionality of customer lasers following repair. The successful candidate will work within the Service Department to verify performance, identify failures, and support both diagnostic and repair activities when lasers do not pass test.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Operating multiple laser test stations and completing full functionality testing of repaired lasers.
Recording all test results accurately within Sunrise and other relevant IT systems.
Supporting diagnostic investigations for lasers that fail test, including fault finding and root cause assessment.
Carrying out repairs as required, including fibre handling and splicing activities, following defined procedures and repair work instructions.
Assisting the wider Service team with both repair and diagnostic workflows as demand requires.
Identifying and reporting defective parts and liaising with the Quality team as necessary.
