Chandlers Ford – £33,100 (12-Week Temporary Contract)
We are representing a respected engineering business specialising in pump rental and water treatment solutions, who are seeking a Quality Inspector to support its manufacturing operation in Chandlers Ford on a 12-week temporary placement.
This role is integral to maintaining high product standards and ensuring that all inbound and finished components meet technical, safety, and quality requirements.
The Quality Inspector will perform inspections, liaise with suppliers on non-conformances, and help streamline inspection practices to support continuous improvement.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Inspect inbound manufactured components against technical drawings and specifications to ensure compliance and quality
* Conduct quality checks on finished pump sets prior to despatch
* Identify and report non-conforming parts, ensuring defective items are quarantined and escalated where necessary
* Liaise with suppliers to address and reduce future non-conformances
* Work collaboratively with internal teams to maintain consistent quality standards
* Support the Quality Manager and Quality Engineer on projects to improve inspection processes
* Produce timely and accurate inspection reports
* Ensure all work meets required safety and quality standards within a manufacturing environment
Skills & Experience Required
* Previous experience in a quality inspection or manufacturing environment
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Experience using handheld measuring tools including verniers and micrometers
* Familiarity with ISO9001 or other quality accreditation standards advantageous
* Strong attention to detail and ability to identify technical discrepancies
* Good communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
* Competent in Microsoft Office applications
* Highly organised with a methodical and safety-conscious approach
