The role involves diverse work in accounts, tax, and pensions within the medical sector, providing career growth opportunities. Training will be provided, especially for candidates with prior medical finance experience.
Responsibilities include:
* Preparing accounts for various client types for review and client communication
* Overseeing trainees’ work and ensuring quality control
* Providing accurate notes for senior review
* Importing draft figures and producing draft accounts
* Assisting with final pack preparation and review
* Preparing documents for client meetings
* Involvement in taxation work such as corporate tax, personal tax, VAT, and HMRC enquiries

Qualifications and experience required:
* Ideally ACA part-qualified; ACCA considered; ICAEW preferred
* At least three years’ UK accountancy practice experience
* Proficiency in MS Office, Xero, Sage; experience with QuickBooks, IRIS, and other cloud accounting tools is a plus
* Organized with good time management skills
Knowledge of medical finance areas such as NHS pensions, GMS contracts, NHS funding, PCSE Online, and related queries is advantageous.
