Our client, a leading engineering and maintenance provider in the energy sector, is currently seeking a Project Manager to join their team. This permanent position offers the opportunity to work on some of the most stimulating and ground-breaking EPC and construction projects in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, organise, manage, and ensure closure of projects
Be accountable for project safety, programme, and budgets
Identify the overall project execution strategy and develop the project execution plan
Coordinate project resources and third-parties
Lead on commercial and change management
Undertake internal and external monitoring, reporting, and forecasting
Hold the project team accountable for their delivery, motivation, and management
Job Requirements:
Extensive experience as a Project Manager in multi-disciplinary projects, ideally within the UK Infrastructure sector
Experience in developing project programmes
Good knowledge of construction activities across all disciplines
Sound practical knowledge and experience of varying phases of engineering and construction projects, including detailed design, procurement, construction, and commissioning
Experience and good understanding of working with standard forms of contract, particularly NEC3/4
Results-oriented, with a focus on delivering safely, on-time, and within budgetary constraints
Efficient planning and organisational skills, with an understanding of project and discipline dependencies
Ability to identify growth opportunities within the company and support sales, business management, and procedure development
Capability to delegate and lead a team effectively, ensuring target achievement even in case of setbacks
Preferred Qualifications:
BSc / BEng / MSc or equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline
Chartered or Incorporated Engineer
Qualification from APM (Association for Project Management)
Experience as a Project Manager in highly regulated process industries
