The Role
You will deliver engaging, high-quality Chemistry lessons to students aged 11–16 (and/or 11–18), turning complex concepts into exciting discoveries. You’ll encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and confidence in the laboratory, while fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver inspiring Chemistry lessons aligned with the national curriculum
* Lead practical experiments that develop investigative and analytical skills
* Promote scientific thinking, problem-solving, and real-world applications of chemistry
* Monitor, assess, and support student progress and achievement
* Maintain high standards of laboratory safety and organisation
* Contribute to curriculum development within the science department
* Support extracurricular science activities, clubs, or enrichment opportunities
What We’re Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (or equivalent)
* Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Chemistry
* Confidence delivering practical, hands-on experiments
* Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
* A creative, student-centred approach to teaching
* Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
