Teaching Personnel are seeking an experienced Senior Science Technician to support a thriving mainstream secondary school in the Wirral. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and organised technician who is confident in managing a busy science department and supporting high-quality teaching and learning across KS3 and KS4.
Position Details:
* Start: January
* Location: Wirral
* Pay: £95–£125 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
* Contract: Full-time, school-based role
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing, organising and maintaining equipment, chemicals, and resources for science lessons
* Supporting practical demonstrations and experiments across Biology, Chemistry and Physics
* Ensuring all health, safety, and safeguarding procedures are adhered to at all times
* Managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and maintaining accurate records
* Assisting teaching staff to deliver engaging and safe practical sessions
* Overseeing junior technicians (if applicable)
Ideal Candidate:
* Previous experience as a Science Technician or Senior Technician in a secondary school
* Strong knowledge of laboratory safety procedures
* Excellent organisational, communication and teamwork skills
* A science-related qualification (desired)
