This is a Consultant post to support the current Orthopaedic service in general trauma, and lower limb elective orthopaedics with a specialty interest in hip and Knee Surgery. It would be an appropriate post for a fellowship trained hip surgeon. The post holder will be expected to work
across the Trust on both the Northwick Park, Central Middlesex and Ealing Hospital sites.

Qaulifications
Essential criteria
1. Appropriate higher orthopaedic surgical qualification (e.g. FRCS (Tr & Orth) or equivalent)
Desirable criteria
2. Higher academic degree (MD, PhD or equivalent)
Knowledge and Expertise / Subspecialty
Essential criteria
3. Operational experience in Trauma & Orthopaedics
4. Broad based training in Trauma & Orthopaedics and its subspecialties
5. Appropriate experience and surgical expertise in Orthopaedic surgery
6. Fellowship training in Trauma and Revision Hip & Knee Arthroplasty
7. Fellowship in Orthopaedics lower limb
Desirable criteria
8. NHS experience within the last 3 years
9. Fellowship training in adult soft tissue knee ligament reconstruction
Registration
Essential criteria
10. Entry on the GMC Specialist Register in Trauma & Orthopaedics, or within six months of obtaining a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or CESR (CP) at the time of interview
