Our client is a small engineering business, seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant. Ideally, candidates should be part or fully AAT qualified to join their small accounts team.
Job Description for the Accounts Assistant role:
1. Processing purchase ledger, matching purchase invoices to delivery notes
2. Coding and posting of purchase invoices
3. Posting of payments
4. Investigating queries
5. Preparing month-end accruals
6. Debtor chasing and liaising with the manager regarding escalations
7. Monitoring cash flow
8. Banking and petty cash management
Preferred candidate qualities:
* Part or full AAT qualification or equivalent
* Strong attention to detail
* Good organizational skills
* Engineering background (advantageous)
* Experience working within a small business
* Multicurrency experience (advantageous)
Working hours: Monday – Thursday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm,
Friday: 8:00 am – 1:30 pm
Salary: £26,500 per annum
