Teaching Personnel is recruiting Graduate Teaching Assistants for secondary schools across Durham. If you've recently graduated and you're considering a career in education, this is an excellent opportunity to gain hands on classroom experience while earning competitive pay.
You'll support students in lessons, work alongside experienced teachers, and get a genuine feel for what working in education involves. What you'll be doing:
* Supporting students in lessons across different subjects
* Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions to help students who need extra support
* Assisting teachers with classroom management and resources
* Helping students with additional learning needs
* Building positive relationships with students and staff
* Contributing to a supportive learning environment
* Gaining classroom experience that strengthens future applications
You need:
* A degree in any subject
* Passion for working with young people
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Patience and adaptability
* Willingness to learn and develop
* Previous experience with children or young people is helpful but not essential
