Libertatem Healthcare is seeking experienced Spinal Injury Support Workers to work with our male spinal injury client living in Milton Keynes. Due to client needs, the role requires 24/7 2:1 care during the night, with alternate weekends off.
Hours:
* 24 hours: 08:00 - 08:00 (with sleeping night)
* 12 hours: waking night 20:00 - 08:00
Responsibilities include:
* Supporting independence and rehabilitation
* Providing personalized, confidential support according to care plans
* Understanding and following care plans, seeking clarification when needed
* Participating in care plan reviews
* Working professionally with multidisciplinary teams
* Promoting self-care and independence
* Assisting with mobility, feeding, washing, bathing, dressing
* Managing neurogenic bladder and bowel care
* Supporting domestic tasks, meal prep, shopping
* Attending appointments and social outings
* Providing emotional support
* Using moving and handling equipment safely
* Monitoring skin integrity and health
* Administering medication as per policy
* Supporting rehabilitation activities
* Monitoring health indicators for issues like Autonomic Dysreflexia
* Respecting cultural and personal diversity
* Documenting progress and changes accurately
