Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Migration Support Technician to assist with a major hardware refresh project. This role involves ensuring a smooth device migration process for end users. The technician will collaborate with the Contractor Engineer and Site Manager to coordinate device movements, assist users, and keep accurate records throughout the migration.
Key Responsibilities:
* Set up and manage the Refresh Clinic for device migrations.
* Transport devices from onsite storage to the Refresh Clinic as needed.
* Help users log into systems and refresh laptops.
* Distribute new devices and collect old ones according to the schedule.
* Update the workflow management system accurately at each step.
* Identify and report any issues during migration.
* Conduct daily manual stock checks and report findings.
* Ensure secure packaging and storage of devices for disposal or refurbishment.
* Lock and secure all equipment at the end of each day.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Experience in IT support, device migration, or technical refresh projects.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to follow structured processes and meet deadlines.
* Experience with workflow management systems.
* Good problem-solving skills and issue reporting.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Must hold an active SC clearance to qualify for this role.
