Job Description
* Have responsibility for the indirect spend for manufacturing sites in EMEA. This will include leading large cross-functional project teams through the sourcing and procurement process.
* Develop a regional plan based on the overall global category strategy, current market conditions, and the business environment.
* Perform indirect procurement functions, including bidder prequalification, contract selection, bid solicitation and evaluation, negotiation, award, administration, and closeout.
* Maintain a strategic role with indirect materials and services for the region and support sourcing activities for critical materials such as capital projects, plant services, contractors, equipment servicing, MRO, and lab suppliers.
* Resolve nonconformance issues, back-charges, and claims promptly to minimize exposure. Identify risks within the supply chain and implement mitigation measures.
* Leverage internal networks and outage optimization to deliver performance, cost-effectiveness, and value creation.
* Lead development and execution of procurement strategies and projects over the medium and long term, aligned with internal stakeholder goals.
* Collaborate internally and with suppliers, develop multi-year strategies, and manage the end-to-end procurement cycle including sourcing, contracting, P2P, and supplier management.
* Gain alignment from senior management on procurement strategy implementation.
* Apply industry-leading procurement practices to execute strategies effectively.
* Manage the supplier relationship program for key regional suppliers.
* Develop negotiation strategies aligned with business goals and lead negotiations to maximize value and mitigate risks.
* Analyze financials, market, and supply risks for projects, and implement risk mitigation strategies.
* Understand legal and commercial terms, negotiate, and draft legal language to reduce risks.
* Drive results through analytics, business acumen, leadership, and business case development.
* Consolidate spending and provide thought leadership to meet organizational objectives, ensuring adherence to policies and values.
* Coach and develop site buyers and liaise with global procurement for coordination.
* Define and manage supplier performance reviews, including audits (ISO 9000).
* Work with engineering on procurement strategies for capital expenditures and ensure proper protocols are followed.
* Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and labs on procurement to ensure savings and compliance.
Qualifications & Skills
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management; MBA or CPM/CPSM preferred, or 10+ years relevant experience.
* At least 5 years in procurement or related categories.
* Minimum 2 years leading large global procurement initiatives.
* Experience negotiating multi-year, multimillion-dollar contracts in indirect categories.
* Ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
* Project management skills preferred.
* Willingness to travel up to 10% for supplier audits and visits.
* Team player, adaptable to fast-paced environments.
* Knowledge of SAP, Coupa, or similar Source-to-Pay systems is a plus.
