Electrician – Carlisle area
We are expanding our workforce and looking for experienced electricians with the ability to carry out all the customer compliance requirements within commercial properties (retail, hospitality, sports stadiums, hospitals, prisons, educational facilities, government institutions) and LED lighting projects.
In return for your commitment and expertise, you will receive a base salary of £35,433‑£37,795 with average earnings of circa £50,000 (base salary, on call, overtime/weekends, paid travel time) and 31 days holiday allowance (including statutory bank holidays). You will also receive a fully maintained new company van, fuel card, power tools, plant & IT equipment, laptop, phone, PDA, workwear & PPE, and other perks such as a company wellness helpline.
Responsibilities
* Carry out electrical remedial works in commercial and domestic properties (completing C2, C3 & F/I defects from EICR reports)
* Respond to call‑outs & maintenance during normal hours & OOH (call‑out rota for OOH)
* Lead LED lighting replacement projects
* Ensure all administration is complete (MWs, EICs, customer satisfaction notes & quotes)
Qualifications
* Full UK manual Driving Licence (minimum 12 months, subject to insurance requirements), maximum 6 points
* Qualified Electrician – SJIB / JIB Card, SVQ NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds 2360/2330 Part 1 & 2 qualification
* City & Guilds 2391/2394 & 2395 inspection & testing (not essential but desirable)
* Good level of IT literacy
* Understanding of health and safety regulations
* IPAF and PASMA (not essential but desirable)
* City & Guilds 18th Edition qualification AM2
