We currently have an exciting vacancy for a Hire Desk / Logistics Coordinator to join our team which will be based at our Foxbridge Logistics Centre in Normanton, Wakefield. We are looking for an experienced Coordinator to join our function who wants to learn new skills and help improve our function and business processes. Given that we operate within a regulated and demanding environment of constantly fluctuating workloads, you will be able to demonstrate a flexible but determined approach and an ability to cope under pressure. Where you fit in: Manage the Mitigation Hire Desk, supporting operational teams with temporary pumping and aeration equipment. Coordinate both urgent and planned hire requests received via phone and email. Handle each enquiry from start to finish, using either internal equipment or sourcing externally through partners. Schedule site visits when necessary to assess or support mitigation needs. Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure smooth and accurate service delivery. Obtain approval from site managers for quotes and proposed mitigation plans before deployment. Communicate with site staff and contractors to arrange installation and removal dates. Organize transport logistics for delivering and collecting hired equipment. Maintain and update various performance and expenditure reports on a weekly and monthly basis. Track and manage live hires, providing updates on progress and expected return dates. What skills & qualifications you will need: Possess strong communication and people skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across various internal teams and external contractors, as daily interaction is a key part of the role. Thrive in a fast-moving environment, showing the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Highly organised with strong attention to detail, capable of managing and adjusting priorities as needed. Bring solid administrative experience and a proactive, solution-focused mindset. Skilled in handling customer interactions and resolving issues efficiently. Familiarity with SAP is an advantage, though not essential. Confident in using all Microsoft Office applications. You will also benefit from having: Previous coordinating or planning experience is preferable but not essential. Previous experience in a similar environment or within the broader utilities industry sectors would be beneficial.
