The Role Pre-Construction Manager This position would suit an experienced pre-construction professional who enjoys taking ownership of projects from initial enquiry through to contract award.
You will work closely with estimating, design, commercial, and operational teams, helping to develop winning bid strategies, coordinate pre-construction activities, and ensure projects are commercially and technically aligned before progressing into delivery.
The role offers significant involvement with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both the technical and commercial aspects of project development.
Requirements
Experience working as a Pre-Construction Manager, Senior Estimator, Estimating Manager, Bid Manager, or similar role within M&E Building Services
Mechanical or Electrical Building Services background
Strong understanding of pre-construction processes within contractor-led environments
Experience managing tenders, bids, and client engagement activities
Good commercial awareness and understanding of project procurement
Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to coordinate multiple opportunities simultaneously while maintaining quality and attention to detail
Experience working across commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, or public sector projects would be advantageous
