We are recruiting a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Roofing Project Manager or Liquid Roofing Manager to join a dynamic business near Wakefield. The company are leading UK Main Contractor with a strong presence in the retail construction sector, delivering fast-track fit-outs, refurbishments and new build construction projects for major retail brands across the country.
Position Overview:
The Roofing Project Manager or Liquid Roofing Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of liquid-applied roofing projects from start to finish. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The manager acts as the primary point of contact between clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Coordination -
* Conduct site assessments to determine project scope, requirements, and potential risks.
* Develop project schedules, budgets, work plans, and resource allocations.
* Prepare and review technical specifications, method statements, and project documentation.
Execution & Oversight -
* Manage day-to-day operations of liquid roofing installations, including cold-applied systems, coatings, and waterproofing membranes.
* Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and warranty requirements.
Client & Stakeholder Communication -
* Serve as main liaison for clients, providing updates and addressing concerns promptly.
* Present project progress reports to internal leadership and external stakeholders.
Financial Management -
* Track project costs, labour, materials, and subcontractor expenses.
* Approve invoices and monitor financial performance against the budget.
Qualifications & Experience -
* Proven experience managing roofing or waterproofing projects, preferably with liquid-applied systems.
* Strong knowledge of roofing materials, application techniques, and industry standards.
* Understanding of construction site safety regulations.
* Excellent project management, organizational, and leadership skills.
* Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel to job sites.
Preferred Credentials -
* Certification in roofing systems or waterproofing (e.g., manufacturer-specific training).
* Construction management qualification or equivalent experience.
* CSCS / OSHA / other relevant safety certifications
