The Healing Hubs Charity

Role Description
Helpline Volunteers for a new national befriending service. Volunteers will align with The Healing Hubs Charity Mission and Values []. Volunteers will complete a safe recruitment and training process. Volunteers will commit to a minimum of 1 hour a week covering the national helpline [remotely] and 1 hour a month to attend an online volunteer team supervision session, to ensure volunteers wellbeing.

Qualifications
Strong communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills
Empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental approach
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information responsibly
Problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm while listening to challenging client stories
Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with logging systems
Commitment to learning and participating in training related to our befriending helpline service
Previous experience in mental health support or customer service is a plus
Dedication to supporting individuals experiencing life challenges, bereavement, loneliness & isolation.
