Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. Health Professions Council (HCPC) for Registration
2. Honours degree or equivalent in a biological science which is acceptable by Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS)
3. Completion of IBMS Registration Portfolio
Desirable criteria
4. Working towards IBMS Specialist Portfolio
Experience
Essential criteria
5. Previous experience working in Clinical Biochemistry
6. Current experience within an NHS UKAS accredited laboratory
Desirable criteria
7. Experience in equipment validation and implementation
Skills
Essential criteria
8. Practical skills associated with Good Laboratory Practice.
9. Good attention to detail and accuracy
10. Basic computer skills
11. Knowledge of common IT software
12. Handling biological specimens
Desirable criteria
13. Familiarity with Quality Management Software
14. Familiarity with Winpath software

15. Able to work autonomously and as team member
