Salary: NJC 12 – FTE £27,711 per annum (pro rata £24,340.74)

Job Overview

Role Responsibilities
As a Pastoral Leader, you will:
* Set and maintain high expectations for student behaviour and wellbeing
* Provide dedicated pastoral and behavioural support to students across a year group
* Liaise effectively with families, staff, and external agencies to ensure positive outcomes
* Supervise student entry each morning, addressing uniform, appearance, or other concerns
* Monitor attendance in collaboration with the attendance team and follow up on issues
* Maintain accurate records using Bromcom or other school systems
* Monitor and contribute to behaviour logs, support plans, and reports
* Support disciplinary procedures and prepare relevant documentation
* Facilitate and attend meetings with parents and other stakeholders
* Maintain a visible presence around the school and respond to issues as they arise
* Participate in the remove rota and provide additional safeguarding and welfare support
What We're Looking For
* Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) in English and Maths
* Experience working in a school or educational setting is essential
* Strong ICT skills relevant to administrative and pastoral responsibilities
* Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality requirements in schools
* Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
* Experience in social care or a recognised qualification is desirable
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
* A track record of ongoing professional development
