We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Physiotherapist to work in our inpatient rehab unit at Woking Community Hospital.
This post would suit a physiotherapist either currently at, or working towards, Band 6 level, with an interest in developing specialist skills relating to rehabilitation and complex discharge-planning.
Our Inpatient services work on the Complex Elderly Rehabilitation Ward in Woking Community Hopsital, offering patient-centred care, working with individuals, and their families/carers, to help optimise mobility, function and well-being as part of preparation for a safe discharge.
Although expected to work autonomously you will not be alone. Our service is based around a multi-disciplinary team model, working with Occupational Therapists, Nurses, Rehabilitation Assistants, Adult Social Care and doctors, also liaising with other community services.
This is a full-time post which will include some weekend working.

You will develop your skills in treating patients with a wide variety of conditions. You will manage individual patient cases and gain expertise through a close working relationship with other senior staff and like-minded professionals.

Job responsibilities
1. To work as a member of the multi -disciplinary Inpatient Therapy team
2. To undertake advanced assessments, clinical diagnosis and treatment ofpatients within the speciality who are requiring rehabilitation. These patientsoften have complex and / or chronic presentations.
3. To work as an autonomous practitioner to undertake a significant specialistclinical caseload, working without direct supervision. Access to a seniorPhysiotherapist is available if required and clinical work is not routinelyevaluated.
4. To take a role in supervision and teaching of physiotherapists withinclinical speciality.
5. To demonstrate leadership skills and contribute to service development,monitoring of standards of practice and developing multidisciplinary managementof patients.

3. Diploma/ degree Leading to inclusion on Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Physiotherapy register.
