Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our warehouse, ensuring that goods are handled, stored, and dispatched accurately and safely. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
* Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to load and unload materials safely.
* Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stock rotation and organisation.
* Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
* Maintain accurate records of stock levels using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
* Assist in shipping and receiving processes, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
* Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure stock accuracy.
* Collaborate with team members to optimise warehouse operations and improve efficiency.
* Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Experience
* Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not essential.
* Familiarity with materials handling techniques and equipment operation is advantageous.
* Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for basic maintenance of warehouse equipment.
* Experience with shipping and receiving processes is desirable.
* Proficiency in using systems such as AS400 or similar WMS is a plus.
* A valid forklift licence is highly advantageous.
