Overview
We are seeking a Battery Senior Technician to join our Electrification and Battery Testing team.
Responsibilities
* Oversee a small team of technicians performing abuse and development tests on customer battery systems ranging from cell level to full pack, including battery tear down (disassembly).
* Set up tests and coordinate technicians to ensure smooth customer delivery.
* Collaborate with team members and customers to ensure tests are set up and executed efficiently and effectively (testing and tear down at cell, module, and pack levels).
* Collect test data for reporting to the customer, informing design improvements and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
* General maintenance of the site and equipment.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Background or interest in electronics, electrical, motor vehicle and prototype build; passion for advancing electric vehicle technology.
* A full UK driving licence is required.
* Baseline security clearance will be required.
* Hours: 39 hours per week with standard hours 08:30–16:30 Monday to Thursday and 08:30–16:00 Friday (30 minutes lunch); flex to be discussed at interview. Occasional overtime/shift work may be required with flexibility.
* Contract type: Up to 18 months; Up to £22 per hour (approx. £38,610 p.a.) inclusive of holiday pay; Inside IR35.
* Anticipated start dates: 29th September or 6th October 2025; future start dates can be discussed.
Site, Safety and Logistics
* Role will involve working outdoors in all weather; appropriate PPE and clothing provided.
* A full UK driving licence is required.
* Baseline security clearance is required.

Application and Assessment
Interview process includes a short MS Teams interview to discuss your CV and experience. If successful, you will be invited to complete psychometrics tests. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an on-site competency-based interview with a work sample test to assess technical capabilities.
