Job Summary
Local Care Direct is a non‑profit Social Enterprise operating across 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to provide primary and urgent health care services across West Yorkshire. We are looking for a Clinical Support Worker.

Responsibilities
* Work under the direct supervision of the minor injuries nurse practitioners and report to the Lead Nurse.
* Assist in wound care, wound closure, plaster of Paris casts, general dressing and bandaging of minor injuries, and 12‑lead ECG placement.
* Provide support for patients who are anxious or distressed and encourage self‑care and self‑management through health education.
* Refer appropriate patients to other health care team members and work within all relevant practice policies and procedures.
* Maintain order and regulation of clinical supplies and equipment, promoting infection control standards.
* Contribute to the creation and maintenance of confidential electronic patient records.
* Encourage health promotion, represent patient interests, and develop health promotion materials.
* Contribute to the development, monitoring, and evaluation of care delivered by the team.
* Promote effective communication and relationships within the team, participate in team meetings and clinical supervision.
* Use IT systems consistently for accurate data entry, Read codes, and raise recommendations for service improvement.
* Identify and support safeguarding of adults, children, and young people.
* Contribute to practice or team audit/research activity as required.

Qualifications (Essential)
* Willingness to work towards the National Vocational Qualification Level 3 for Health Care Workers.
