A large global organisation are seeking a Lab Support Engineer to provide hands-on support for laboratory instrumentation, alongside desktop support responsibilities. The role includes managing hardware inventory, troubleshooting technical issues and supporting Windows 10/11 upgrades/migration activities.
This will be an initial 6-12 months+ contract with the opportunity for multiple extensions.
This position will be based on-site full time, in East Anglia UK.
Responsibilities
* Working with System owners, global project team and suppliers/vendor engineers to replace obsolete hardware & out of support operating systems following the clients processes in respect of the following
* Installing and configuration of new PCs
* Installing and configuration of simple software installations
* Assisting 3rd party vendors under the clients control with complex installation when required
* Providing Hypercare IT support for lab-based personnel as part of deployments.
* Collecting and maintaining inventory information and updating CMDB (ServiceNow) aimed at achieving a high degree of accuracy (>80%)
* Collaborating with existing BAU Digital Lab solutions teams
* Following the clients SOPs
* To assist monitoring compliance and adherence to GLP & GMP standards
* Previous exposure to laboratory instrumentation such as Chromatography Data Systems, Mass Spec
* Experience with Win 10/11 Upgrades & Migrations
