About the Role
As a Community CAMHS Mental Health Worker you will be responsible for managing a caseload of complex young people with moderate to severe mental health disorders. You will carry out routine assessments, help young people develop a collaborative care plan, offer first-level therapeutic interventions, screen for neurodevelopmental issues and make appropriate internal referrals to support them. The service offers structured interventions such as CBT, systemic family therapy, DBT, IPT, and Positive Behaviour Support. Opportunities to develop your own skills further include training internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage caseload of complex young people with moderate to severe mental health disorders.
* Carry out routine assessments and develop collaborative care plans.
* Offer first-level therapeutic interventions.
* Screen for neurodevelopmental issues and make appropriate referrals.
* Consult with clinicians from various pathways to deliver best service.
Qualifications
* Qualified healthcare professional, social worker or accredited therapist.
