We are looking to recruit a Building Surveyor based in Glasgow to join a local private practice firm.
Salary Negotiable & Competitive
Responsibilities
* Perform Dilapidation Surveys, Schedules of Condition, Building Surveys, Specific Defect Analysis Reporting, and Maintenance Plans.
* Work on historic buildings and manage larger complex projects up to £10 million.
* Collaborate with contractors to review proposals and prepare Description of Works.
* Develop full Tender Documents and serve as Contract Administrator.
* Manage all reinstatement works on site and liaise with key stakeholders.
Qualifications
* Broad surveying experience and ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
* Degree level qualification in Surveying or a relevant discipline.
* Chartered status or willingness to work towards (MRICS preferred; MCABE, MCIOB, MICE, CEng, MIStructE also considered).
* Familiarity with building reinstatement works is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities
* Act as the interface for projects between the client, designers, and contractor.
* Inspect existing properties and develop scope, budget, and programmes.
* Liaise with clients to understand requirements and keep them appraised of activities.
* Provide guidance on procurement approaches and manage design/programme/ cost information.
* Develop tender documentation and specifications using NBS.
* Manage tender process, analyse returns, and prepare reports.
* Chair meetings, act as Contract Administrator, and process notices.

What We Need From You

* Interest in construction technology.
