Our client is seeking a planner to join their team.Your day revolves around reviewing incoming customer orders againstproduction and material schedules to ensure shipment dates are accurate and achievable. You’ll work closely with Production Team Leaders to align technician resources and keep Distribution Centers informed of shipment plans.
This role offers a high degree of autonomy, allowing you to define your own schedule, set production priorities, and optimiSe processes to drive performance and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Schedule all shipments in collaboration with Production Team Leaders.
* Communicate the overall production plan and capabilities to Finance and Customer Service to support accurate forecasting and customer expectation management.
* Prepare monthly PSI (Production, Sales & Inventory) plans for review and approval by the Operations Manager.
* Maintain “Line of Balance” charts to provide visibility of the production plan and highlight potential material shortages.
* Create, maintain, and schedule open Work In Progress (WIP) jobs in the ERP system to reflect customer demand accurately.
* Use Daily Management processes to monitor team performance, drive production priorities, and coordinate support activities.
* Advise Operations and Production Managers on gaps in customer demand and elevate issues related to Past Due Backlog (PDBL) and On-Time Delivery (OTD) risks.
* Implement and maintain Standard Work and scheduling processes, with a focus on continuous improvement and lean principles.
Your Team
You’ll be part of a collaborative scheduling team, working closely with Production Team Leaders, the Production Manager, Buyer/Planners, and the Technician Supervisor.
Experience & Qualifications
* Proven experience in complexscheduling and cross-functional communication.
* Strong prioritization and organizational skills.
* Self-starter with a proactive mindset.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Jira/Confluence and Oracle ERP is a plus.
