Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join our exceptional legal team. As the Global counsel for the API Services business and European counsel for the Viral Vector Services business, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality legal and compliance advice and transactional support to these businesses.
Responsibilities:
1. Serve as the primary legal counsel for business transactions, commercial disputes, and settlements.
2. Counsel senior leaders on compliance and regulatory matters.
3. Lead and collaborate on legal projects and initiatives.
4. Provide training to the organization on a range of legal matters.
Requirements:
1. Experience in handling legal, regulatory, and compliance matters, including product liability, trade compliance, anti-bribery, and data privacy.
2. Proven ability to achieve positive results in a matrixed environment through influence and negotiation.
3. Strong understanding of contract terms and their legal consequences.
4. Strong ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with individuals both within and outside the organization.
5. Ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently with strong attention to detail.
6. Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
7. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
8. Law degree from an internationally recognized University/law school.
9. Approximately five years of experience in commercial, corporate, or litigation matters.
10. Knowledge of European and US laws and regulations in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences sectors is an advantage.
11. Applicable legal licensure and bar membership.
