We are currently seeking a Furniture Fitter / dispatcher to join our team here in Frome where we produce a wide range of bedroom & dining furniture.
We are looking for someone with a good eye for detail, someone who is willing to learn all aspects of the job, someone that can work within a fast paced environment and who enjoys working as part of a team and is happy to undertake any other relevant duties as required.
The hours are Mon - Fri 7am to 4pm & Pay is dependent upon experience.
This department is responsible for assembling the final fittings to all our furniture, quality checking and wrapping the furniture ready for transportation. An eye for detail and ability to work under pressure while maintaining standards is critical.
Working at speed while maintaining standards is KEY

Responsibilities
- Wrap and package products according to specific guidelines to ensure they are safe for transportation
- Inspect products for any defects before wrapping
- Use hand tools to assist in the wrapping process
- Ensure all wrapped products are labelled correctly
- Assist with loading and unloading wrapped products as needed
-Ensure all components fit correctly and are suitable for the final product.
-Learn to work with a variety of hand and power tools and fixed woodworking machinery
* Collaborate with other team members and departments to improve production processes.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area
-Work to Health and Safety regulations and quality standards
-Using power tools
Qualifications
- Experience in joinery is advantageous
- Proficiency in using power tools
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required
- Familiarity with hand tools
* An exceptional eye for detail
* Good organisational and problem-solving skill
* A self-starter with a can-do attitude and strong work ethic
* Excellent time keeping
* Ability to carry out manual handling duties
