Role Overview:
As a Senior Engineer at TP ICAP, you will demonstrate excellent technical skills, mentor junior team members, and take ownership of software design, development, testing, and deployment, collaborating closely with Principal Engineers, Architects, and Leads for successful production deployment.
Role Responsibilities:
* Drive engineering improvements and communicate principles to team members and the wider organization.
* Support the team in a well-defined SDLC supporting planning, prioritization, and delivery.
* Lead discussions around estimation, requirements, and solutions.
* Facilitate conversations about system architecture with Engineers.
* Refactor and prioritize deliveries to evolve systems towards target architecture.
Essential/Desired Criteria:
Essential:
* STEM Degree and 5+ years of industry experience.
* Experience with C# (.Net 8+) in a professional setting.
* Experience within an Agile cross-functional team.
* Developing well-tested software for low latency, event-driven environments.
* Experience with full software development lifecycle.
* Knowledge of Pub/Sub messaging technologies.
* API development using REST and GraphQL.
* Experience delivering reusable services across multiple projects.
* Knowledge of Microservice Architecture, Containerization, AWS, Linux/PowerShell, CI/CD, source control (Git).
* Ability to automate workflows using scripting languages.
* Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Desired:
* Experience with regulatory projects.
* Knowledge of Financial Markets and OTC products.
