We’re on the lookout for enthusiastic and committed relief Mental Health Workers (at Pobl, known as Complex Care Project Workers) to join our passionate team in the Complex Care Recovery Service, Bedwas. Our service runs 24/7 – you’ll be part of a rolling rota covering days, evenings, weekends and wakeful nights. Day shifts are typically 12 hours, with wakeful nights as additional cover.

What is the Role?

Tŷ Anwen is a residential mental health service in Caerphilly, supporting up to 16 individuals living with serious and enduring mental illness and complex needs, which may include self-harm.

Our team works to a recovery-focused model of care, offering clear therapeutic boundaries and outcome-driven support that builds independence and confidence.

As a Complex Care Project Worker, you will play a key role in empowering and supporting individuals on their recovery journey. Working as part of a dedicated team, you’ll help to develop, implement and review high-quality, person-centred care and support plans that reflect each individual’s needs, preferences and aspirations.


What You’ll Be Doing

* Supporting individuals to live independently within a care setting.
* Support, prompting and administering medication.
* Engagement in social activities
* Completing and updating support plans, risk assessments and risk management plans.
* Carrying out supervisions
* Completing assessments from referrals
* Be responsible for the service in the absence of the manager.
* Undertake relevant training for the role.
* Liaise with Social Services, Benefits Agencies, Housing department and other relevant agencies
* Organising group activities with the individuals at Ty Anwen or in the community
* Providing emotional support to the individuals


What skills and experience do you need?

* I.T. literacy
* GCSE Grade C or above in Maths & English (or equivalent)
* Experience working as part of a team
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with individuals with mental health needs
