The Universal Service was established to enhance outcomes for children aged 0-5 years living in Enfield by improving access to allied health services, with a focus on reducing inequalities and targeting areas most affected. This is achieved through drop-in clinics, outreach work, and training programs.
The universal team includes (but is not limited to) speech and language therapists (SLT), occupational therapists (OT), physiotherapists, early years practitioners, and administrators.
We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic OT with an interest in working with children and addressing health inequalities to join our team. The successful candidate will work as part of the multidisciplinary Universal team for children aged 0-5. Responsibilities include running drop-in clinics, screening young children, providing advice or onward referrals, and liaising with other teams such as NHS, Enfield Council, and voluntary organizations. The role also involves working on outreach projects and delivering community training.
The post-holder will contribute to the development, planning, and delivery of universal and targeted support within Enfield. They will foster strong relationships and facilitate communication between the Universal Team and other services like the Community OT Team to optimize service delivery. Additionally, they will participate in service improvement initiatives and contribute to quality enhancement efforts, representing Occupational Therapy to colleagues, professionals, and families to ensure the support reflects multidisciplinary expertise. The post-holder must ensure all aspects of service provision meet relevant performance standards, including safety, effectiveness, and efficiency.
