With 159 elegant rooms and suites, 4 distinguished food & beverage outlets, and the award-winning Akasha Holistic & Wellbeing Spa, we are dedicated to providing an exceptional level of service and luxury.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a passionate and exceptional individual to join our outstanding Front Office team as a Guest Relations Coordinator. This role is perfect for someone with a warm and welcoming personality, a natural flair for hospitality, and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
Your Role:
As a Guest Relations Coordinator, you will act as a true ambassador of Hotel Café Royal, promoting a feeling of comfort, sophistication and friendliness throughout the hotel. You will be a visible and approachable presence in both of our elegant lobbiesgreeting guests, getting to know them, and ensuring their stay is seamless from arrival to departure.
Key responsibilities include:
Check and update Amenity Forecast ensuring any updates and changes are recorded accurately including new VIP reservations, removing cancelled bookings and making sure room numbers are accurate.
Liaising with other departments such as Pastry, In Room Dining and Housekeeping for guest arrivals, requests and amenities.
Answer pending messages on the Guest Relations phone.
Coordinate with wider Guest Relations and Front Office teams for VIP arrivals, Rooming and Suite check-ins.
Create and update guest profiles in Opera.
Place traces on Opera for special occasion set ups and for guests with children for age appropriate toys/gifts.
Liaise with Switchboard to research and check VIP pictures for the next day are correct and updated.
Distribute the daily 5pm meeting reports to relevant colleagues
Your Profile:
Previous experience in a similar guest-facing position is essential, ideally gained in a luxury 4- or 5-star hotel or another high-end environment.
Immaculate personal presentation and exceptional communication skills.
A high level of spoken English is essential; proficiency in an additional language is advantageous.
Flexible availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings and weekends.
Working knowledge of Opera PMS is desirable.
Strong knowledge of central Londonparticularly Mayfair, Soho, and the West Endis a plus.
