An excellent opportunity has arisen within our Housing Services where you will work within the Construction Trades visiting tenants’ premises to carry out repairs and working on capital investment sites, e.g. new build, kitchen refurbishments and external clients. You will learn how to work to all the various Council Standards, including Health & Safety and Customer Service and carry out other duties as required for the Service. As a Modern Apprentice Electrician, you will work towards the Electrical Installations SCQF 7 Modern Apprenticeship qualification and be willing to undertake any other training relevant to the role.
You will be 16-19 years old (or a 2026 official summer leaver), have passed the pre-employment assessment with SECTT and the successful candidate must be able to confirm you are not colour blind.
This opportunity is funded through the Modern Apprenticeship scheme and candidates between 20-29 years old may be eligible for enhanced funding if you have a disability or are care experienced.
