We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our well-established, 4-bedded children's residential home in Uxbridge. Our home supports children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), complex needs, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, within a safe and therapeutic environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled residential childcare professional to step into a senior role, lead a dedicated team, and play a vital role in helping vulnerable young people achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, supervise, and support a team of residential care workers.
* Maintain the highest standards of care in line with Ofsted and safeguarding regulations.
* Support children with EBD, SEMH, learning disabilities, and mental health needs.
* Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and day-to-day home operations.
* Ensure a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for all residents.
* Work collaboratively with families, social workers, and external agencies.
* Coordinate education, recreational, and therapeutic activities that support holistic development.
Requirements
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – Essential
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a residential childcare setting – Required
* Full UK driving licence – Required
* Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
* Child-centred, empathetic, and resilient approach.
* Good working knowledge of safeguarding and regulatory frameworks.
