Befriending Support Worker needed in the Cannock and surrounding area. Working with clients offering befriending support helping to ensure clients live however they choose. No personal care or Medication support required.
Who you are
All we ask is that you have:

Job Purpose: To provide support and reliability through HaywardBefriending services. Aiming to alleviate the symptoms of loneliness, encourage and maintain our client's independence in the community while offering time out for their family and friends or main Carer.
General duties:
1. As a Befriending support worker you will be required to visit our service users at their home, assist with tasks in or out of the home, encouraging and stimulating self-independence. Key tasks include:
· Befriending/Companionship/reliability
· Assisting or carry out meal preparation
· Assisting or carry out house work
· Assisting or carry out shopping
· Assisting or carry out basic Gardening
· Night sitting
· Driving with or on behalf of Service User
· Appointment arranging/attending with
· Accompanied Holidays/Outings
1. You will be required to comply with instructions and policies of HaywardBefriending, paying particular attention to responsibilities under the Health & Safety at Work Act.
2. You will be required to respect and adhere to HaywardBefriending policy around Service Users confidentiality.
3. You will always be introduced to a Service User before any independent work commences, you will be given all relevant Befriending Plan details to ensure you are fully briefed.
4. You will be required to write notes after every visit and concerns must be raised with the individual/Family/Carer and your Befriending Co-ordinator.
5. You will be required to attend relevant training as deemed necessary to carry out this role.
Successful applicants will be subject to a disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service and a background check. Whilst it is recognised that not all criminal convictions will disbar an individual from employment Hayward Befriending claims exemption under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 197 (exceptions).
