Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting Behaviour Mentors to work in specialist SEMH and SEN schools across Wigan. These schools support pupils aged 5–16 with a range of additional needs including autism, ADHD, trauma, and social, emotional and mental health challenges.
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting vulnerable young people and helping them thrive both academically and emotionally.

Role Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH and SEN.
* Help manage challenging behaviour and promote positive coping strategies.
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external professionals.
* Deliver tailored interventions to support emotional regulation and engagement.
* Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage progress and wellbeing.

Candidate Requirements:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEN/SEMH (in education, care, youth work, or similar).
* Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
* A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach.
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply through Teaching Personnel).
* Relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential).
