Position
By Dr Vali is looking to add a creative Social Media Manager at an exciting stage in its life as it launches an Experiential Center in Selfridges followed by the launch of the “By Dr Vali” skincare range. The role will eventually report to the Communications Management Team.
The right candidate must be highly organised, clinically skilled, process driven and have high attention to detail, with capacity for growth and development.
Key Responsibilities
* Create, write, and produce original content across all BDV social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, LinkedIn, and Pinterest.
* Write compelling, on-brand captions, scripts, hooks, and text overlays for reels, carousels, static posts, and stories, in line with the BDV tone of voice.
* Produce short‑form video content including reels and TikToks from brief through to final edit, using tools such as CapCut or equivalent.
* Develop content in line with monthly content calendars, campaign briefs, and platform best practices.
* Working alongside the CEO, Creative Director and team, you will be expected to come up with inspiring, innovative ideas, in line with the brand’s DNA + current trends, ensuring that the BDV brand positioning is clear and consistently applied across a range of digital channels.
* Write copy for email marketing campaigns, newsletters, and digital communications in collaboration with the wider Communications team.
* Ensure all content is proofread, on‑brand, compliant, and approved before publication.
Social Media Management
* Own the day‑to‑day management of the BDV social media channels, including scheduling, publishing, and community management.
* Manage content scheduling using social media management platforms such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or equivalent.
* Monitor all channels daily for comments, messages, and engagement opportunities, responding in a manner consistent with the BDV brand voice.
* Maintain the monthly content calendar in coordination with the Head of Communications, ensuring all deadlines and publishing windows are met.
* Coordinate with the design and video teams to brief, track, and collate assets for scheduled content.
* Ensure hashtag strategy, first‑comment formatting, and platform‑specific requirements are applied consistently across all posts.
Influencer and UGC Support
* Support the influencer seeding programme including outreach, gifting coordination, tracking, and follow‑up in line with the BDV influencer SOP.
* Identify and engage user‑generated content opportunities, managing permissions and repurposing content in line with brand guidelines.
* Assist in the research and identification of new influencer and creator talent across relevant verticals including beauty, wellness, luxury, and lifestyle.
Performance and Reporting
* Monitor social media performance and engagement metrics including reach, impressions, saves, shares, follower growth, and link clicks.
* Compile regular performance reports using platform analytics and tools such as Google Analytics, providing insights and recommendations to the Head of Communications.
* Stay informed about platform algorithm updates, content trends, and emerging formats, and integrate relevant insights into the content strategy.
* Identify opportunities to improve content performance based on data and communicate findings clearly to the wider team.
Requirements
* Excellent communication skills (verbally and in writing), with strong listening skills and trained visual awareness attention to detail.
* A minimum of two to three years of experience in a social media, content creation, or digital marketing role.
* Demonstrable experience creating and managing social media content for a luxury, beauty, wellness, or premium consumer brand.
* Strong copywriting skills with an ability to adapt tone and format across different platforms and content types.
* Hands‑on experience producing short‑form video content for Instagram Reels and TikTok.
* Proficiency in social media management and scheduling platforms such as Hootsuite.
* Experience with email marketing platforms, ideally Klaviyo.
* Basic creative skills preferred (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, ChatGPT, Mid journey etc).
* Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and emerging social platforms.
* An understanding of SEO, content optimisation, and social media analytics.
* Meticulous attention to detail with a high standard of written English.
* An existing network of content creators is desirable.
