Salary: £14,888 - £16,038 per annum (pay award pending)

About the Role:
Ashfield District Council has an exciting opportunity for a talented, committed, and friendly Environmental Protection Officer – Land/Permits. You will be working in a busy, high-profile environment delivering legislation and regulations associated with all areas of environmental protection. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and managing your own casework, making timely decisions, and delivering agreed outcomes. You will need to have a passion for delivering outstanding customer service and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, negotiation skills, and an ability to explain legislation, procedures, and requirements to a wide audience. Experience working in local authority or the private industry performing pollution control or environmental protection duties is essential for this position. You must be qualified to HNC/HND level in science or hold an equivalent qualification.
