Job description:

Pear Tree Projects is seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our equine team. Duties will include looking after our competition, hunting, breeding, young horses and riding school ponies. We have a focus on producing high quality sports horses and educating the next generation of young people, working with horses and part of a special school environment. The successful applicant will be part of a progressive equine team with many positive aspects to the role.

Working Hours:

Full-time and part-time employment opportunities are currently available. For full-time positions, the standard working hours amount to 40 hours distributed over five days, including one weekend day.

Responsibilities:

Perform all general yard duties, including mucking out, turning in and out, and ensuring the highest standards of horse welfare.

Manage interactions with farmers, vets, dentists, farriers, and other equine professionals to ensure seamless operations.

Potential for horse exercise responsibilities for the right candidate.

Benefits:

Salary:

£8.00 to £12.45 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and may be required to use their vehicle for work purposes for travelling between sites.

Successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and all relevant safeguarding checks. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974.
