Advert What Your Role Looks Like The post-holder will have consultant responsibilities for a caseload of up to 14 in inpatient and 8 community-based patients. Some of these patients will be subject to Mental Health Act (MHA) provisions (conditionally discharged, guardianship or CTO). Care co-ordination is provided by community psychiatric nurses, occupational therapists or mental health practitioners. You will have specific consultant responsibility predominantly for patients across Nottinghamshire. Day-to-day, you’ll: Provide high-quality, evidence-based care to patients in the community and in an inpatient setting. Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective treatment. Take part in service development and academic programmes. Uphold professional standards and contribute to the efficient running of services. Detailed job description and main responsibilities What We’re Looking For GMC specialist registration in Forensic Psychiatry (or within 6 months of CCT). Approved Clinician status and Section 12(2) approval under the Mental Health Act. A commitment to our values and to delivering outstanding care.
