Job Description
The Manufacturing Technician will play an important role within the mechanical engineering workshops, helping to prepare finished components for dispatch and supporting the day-to-day running of the site.
As a Manufacturing Technician, your responsibilities will include de-burring components, cleaning finished goods, packaging products ready for shipment, and ensuring parts meet quality standards before leaving the workshop. The Manufacturing Technician will also assist with general workshop duties including labouring, blasting, painting, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
This Manufacturing Technician position will also involve supporting site operations such as moving materials, assisting with workshop tasks, and occasionally carrying out driving duties when required. A strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset are essential in this role, as the Manufacturing Technician will be handling precision engineered components.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
* Hands-on experience in a mechanical engineering or workshop environment
* Practical mechanical skills
* Experience using abrasive wheels
* Ability to carry out physically demanding tasks
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable (not essential):
* Experience operating lifting equipment
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
