Position Summary
Within the Platform Engineering Backup team, this role requires solid backup experience, primarily with Veeam, focusing on implementing, supporting, and monitoring backup technologies. The role offers training and career progression in backup technology.

Objectives & Key Results
* Support and maintain Claranet Backup systems effectively.
* Deploy backup infrastructure for various platforms and client solutions.
* Become a technical expert in backup technologies, managing and reporting on services.
Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Roles & Responsibilities
* Participate in daily problem management and incident resolution.
* Manage and improve existing backup solutions.
* Serve as an escalation point with expert knowledge, including on-call duties.
* Support additional projects and tasks as needed.
* Maintain detailed knowledge of vendor technologies relevant to our platforms.
Position Specifications

Technical competencies
* At least 3+ years' experience with backup technologies.
* Proficiency with Veeam v10/v11/v12, including installation, configuration, and management.
* Experience with Veeam in cloud environments like Azure.
* Knowledge of storage technologies and hypervisors such as VMware vSphere.
* Ability to create and maintain documentation.
Desirable skills include Veeam VMCE certification and experience with Veeam in cloud solutions.

This is a mid-senior level, full-time engineering role based in Leeds, England, focusing on backup and cloud technologies.
