We're looking for an enthusiastic Textile Operator to join our local client in East Ayrshire on a permanent basis. We are looking for you to have experience using industrial sewing machines and a keen eye for detail. You'll play a key role in creating high-quality soft furnishings for retail customers, working on beautifully crafted products such as cushions and curtains.
What you'll do:
* Operate industrial sewing machines safely and efficiently
* Stitch a variety of fabric bases to exact specifications
* Carry out quality checks and maintain high standards throughout production
* Read and follow production paperwork accurately
* Support across different areas including cutting, sewing, inspection, and packing
* Keep your work area clean and organised
* Perform basic sewing machine maintenance (changing needles, cleaning, threading)
What we're looking for:
* Ideally 2+ years' experience in a cut-and-sew production environment
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Ability to work with a range of industrial sewing machines
* Knowledge of soft furnishing assembly
* Positive, can-do attitude and team spirit
* Good organisational and problem-solving skills
* Excellent timekeeping and reliability
